The story

I started building Android apps in 2008 and never really stopped. Along the way I founded two mobile startups in China — Amber Mobile Limited, and Infolife LLC (which became EZMOB LIMITED in 2015) — and shipped apps that reached millions of people.

In 2019 I moved to New Zealand and founded Pii Mobile Limited. From day one it was designed as an incubator: a place to turn ideas into shipped products, with a small group of developers and designers I trust to bring in for each one.

Pii Mobile isn't a traditional studio or a one-person show. The team changes shape from project to project — the right people for the product in front of us. With modern AI tools I can take a product end-to-end on my own, but I still prefer working with others who want to turn ideas into something real.

2008

Started building Android apps — first generation Android, when the Play Store was still called the Android Market.
2015

Operating two mobile startups in China: Amber Mobile Limited, and EZMOB LIMITED (formerly Infolife LLC).
2019

Moved to New Zealand and founded Pii Mobile Limited in Wellington — designed as an incubator from day one.
2020

Built apps for some of the larger names in New Zealand and Australia.
2024

Multiple AI-powered products live across education, family, careers, and retail.
